Tips for the best experience

In order to stay hydrated, many people choose to carry a stainless steel water bottle/mug with them but it shouldn't be loaded with some liquids. For example, the following three kinds of liquids, if used in a thermos bottle, may be detrimental to health:
• Citrus Drinks
• Milk


1. Citrus Drinks
Because of its high melting point, stainless steel does not release undesirable substances due to high-temperature melting. However, stainless steel is vulnerable to a strong acid. If it is loaded with a strong acid like Citric Acid in left in any stainless steel for a long period of time ( 6+ hours), it may cause damage to its inner liner. This over time will lower the tumbler's ability to remain antimicrobial and could affect its ability to insulate. This does not mean you cannot carry citrus acid drinks in the tumbler, we simply discourage the use of the tumbler as a long term storage container for citric drinks. Citrus drinks consumed in under 6 hours pose no concern!


2. Do Not Hold Hot Milk/Baby Formula
Some people put hot milk/baby formula in a stainless steel bottle with the idea of keeping it hot for long periods of times when traveling: . However, this method allows the microorganisms in the milk to rapidly multiply at a suitable temperature, causing spoilage and easily causing diarrhea and abdominal pain. Milk and Formula are liquids that are best heated and consumed immediately. It is fine, however ( and advisable) to carry them cold in the tumbler.
