Blue Chico Vendor Membership, Pricing, and Marketplace Policies
Keep More of Every Sale
Blue Chico Marketplace is designed to help independent sellers retain more of the money they earn.
Blue Chico charges vendors ZERO marketplace commission fees. Unlike commission-based marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari, Blue Chico does not deduct a percentage of each completed sale as a marketplace commission.
Vendors pay only:
- Their selected Blue Chico membership fee
- Applicable payment-processing fees
- Their own product, shipping, tax, advertising, and business expenses
Because Blue Chico does not take a marketplace commission, vendors can keep a larger share of each sale and may earn a higher net profit than they would through marketplaces that deduct listing fees, referral fees, final-value fees, or sales commissions.
Actual profit is not guaranteed and will depend on the vendor’s product costs, pricing, shipping expenses, advertising, taxes, returns, refunds, and other business expenses.
Vendor Membership Plans and Refund Policy
Vendors may select one of the following recurring membership plans:
- Weekly Membership: $1.25 per week
- Monthly Membership: $4.99 per month
- Yearly Membership: $45 per year
Each membership plan provides access to the Blue Chico Vendor Marketplace and the opportunity to list and sell approved products.
Membership fees pay for marketplace access and vendor features. Payment of a membership fee does not guarantee sales, customer inquiries, website traffic, product exposure, revenue, business growth, or profitability.
Nonrefundable Membership Fees
All vendor membership fees are nonrefundable.
Blue Chico will not provide refunds, credits, prorated reimbursements, or fee reversals because a vendor:
- Did not receive any sales
- Received fewer sales than expected
- Did not use the membership
- Failed to upload products
- Did not actively manage the vendor account
- Did not promote the vendor’s products
- Canceled after a membership payment was processed
The membership fee pays for access to the marketplace and its vendor features—not for guaranteed results.
Zero Marketplace Commission
Blue Chico does not charge vendors a marketplace commission on completed sales.
When a customer places an order, the applicable payment-processing fee will be deducted. The remaining amount will be paid to the vendor, subject to refunds, chargebacks, disputes, taxes, or other authorized deductions.
This zero-commission structure allows Blue Chico Marketplace vendors to keep more of each sale than they generally would on marketplaces that deduct a percentage-based seller commission.
Blue Chico marketplace commission: $0.00
Vendor advantage: Keep more. Earn more. Grow more.
Active Listing Allowance
Each active vendor membership permits the vendor to maintain up to 25 active product listings at one time.
Vendors may add, remove, replace, deactivate, reactivate, or revise their listings at their discretion, provided that they:
- Do not exceed 25 active listings
- Continue to comply with all Blue Chico policies
- Maintain accurate product and inventory information
- Obtain approval for new or materially revised listings when required
Replacing one product with another does not increase the vendor’s active-listing allowance.
A vendor may change the products being offered as often as reasonably necessary. However, new listings and material listing changes may require approval before becoming publicly available.
Blue Chico reserves the right to reject, suspend, deactivate, or remove any listing that violates:
- Marketplace policies
- Applicable laws or regulations
- Payment-processor requirements
- Shipping requirements
- Intellectual-property rights
- Marketplace quality or safety standards
Marketing and Advertising Responsibilities
Blue Chico will host approved products on the Blue Chico Vendor Marketplace and direct general traffic to marketplace vendor pages on a regular basis.
Because marketplace traffic is shared among all participating vendors, Blue Chico does not guarantee that any particular product, listing, vendor page, or vendor account will receive a specific amount of:
- Traffic
- Exposure
- Engagement
- Customer inquiries
- Orders
- Sales
- Revenue
Blue Chico’s standard marketplace promotion is limited to hosting approved listings and directing general traffic throughout the shared Vendor Marketplace.
Any additional marketing or advertising for an individual vendor’s products is solely the responsibility of that vendor.
Vendors are encouraged to promote their products through their own websites, social-media accounts, email lists, advertisements, customer communities, and other lawful marketing channels.
Unless Blue Chico agrees otherwise in writing, the following remain the vendor’s responsibility:
- Paid advertising
- Social-media promotion
- Influencer marketing
- Email marketing
- Product photography
- Promotional videos
- Search-engine optimization
- Customer-acquisition campaigns
- Discount or coupon promotions
- Brand awareness
- Audience building
Blue Chico does not guarantee sales, revenue, profitability, or business growth through participation in the Vendor Marketplace.
Membership Cancellation
Vendors may cancel their Blue Chico Vendor Membership at any time.
All cancellation requests and account-management responsibilities belong to the vendor. Vendors are responsible for canceling their membership before the next billing date to avoid future weekly, monthly, or yearly charges.
Canceling a membership does not automatically provide a refund for the current billing period. Previously paid membership fees remain nonrefundable.
After cancellation, the vendor may continue to have access through the end of the already-paid membership period, unless the account is terminated for a policy violation or other authorized reason.
Before closing a vendor account, vendors must complete or resolve all outstanding:
- Customer orders
- Shipping obligations
- Customer-service requests
- Returns
- Exchanges
- Refunds
- Disputes
- Chargebacks
- Damaged-item claims
- Other vendor obligations
Failure to resolve customer complaints, issue required refunds, fulfill orders, or address disputes may result in a direct legal dispute between the vendor and the customer, including a possible small-claims action.
Blue Chico may provide relevant marketplace records or cooperate with an investigation or legal proceeding when required or appropriate. Blue Chico is not responsible for a vendor’s dishonest, misleading, unlawful, or fraudulent business practices and will not accept liability for obligations belonging to the vendor.
Our team is happy to provide reasonable marketplace assistance when needed.
Vendors may contact vendor@bluechico.com with questions regarding:
- Marketplace access
- Vendor-account concerns
- Listing requirements
- Marketplace policies
- Unresolved vendor issues
We want our vendors to succeed and are eager to provide reasonable marketplace support.
Blue Chico Free-Shipping Requirement
Blue Chico maintains a free-shipping promise for customers.
Every product offered through the Blue Chico Vendor Marketplace must be advertised and sold with free standard shipping.
Vendors are responsible for calculating their expected shipping, packaging, handling, insurance, tracking, and fulfillment expenses and including those expenses in the advertised product price.
Vendors may not:
- Add a separate standard-shipping charge at checkout
- Require a customer to pay additional standard-shipping fees after completing a purchase
- Advertise free shipping and later add undisclosed handling, processing, delivery, or shipping charges
- Misrepresent the total cost of delivering a product
Every approved vendor listing must clearly state that standard shipping is free.
Vendors are responsible for ensuring that the advertised product price is sufficient to cover:
- Product costs
- Packaging materials
- Handling expenses
- Standard-shipping charges
- Tracking costs
- Shipping insurance, when applicable
- Blue Chico membership fees
- Payment-processing expenses
- Applicable taxes
- Advertising expenses
- Other business expenses
Blue Chico is not responsible for reimbursing vendors when shipping or fulfillment costs exceed the amount included in the advertised product price.
Expedited, international, oversized, remote-area, or specialty shipping charges may not be added unless Blue Chico has expressly approved the arrangement in writing and the additional charge is clearly disclosed to the customer before purchase.
Failure to comply with the Blue Chico free-shipping requirement may result in:
- Listing rejection
- Listing removal
- Account suspension
- Customer refunds
- Vendor-membership termination
Vendor Shipping Responsibilities
Each vendor is solely responsible for shipping and fulfilling the products sold through that vendor’s listings.
Vendor shipping responsibilities include:
- Factoring standard-shipping costs into the advertised product price
- Advertising free standard shipping on every marketplace listing
- Maintaining accurate inventory
- Processing orders promptly
- Packaging products safely
- Purchasing appropriate shipping services
- Providing valid tracking information when available
- Meeting advertised processing and delivery timelines
- Communicating shipping delays to customers
- Correcting delivery-address errors when reasonably possible
- Handling lost, delayed, damaged, stolen, or misdelivered shipments
- Complying with carrier requirements
- Following applicable domestic and international shipping laws
Blue Chico does not manufacture, package, store, inspect, ship, or directly fulfill independently sold vendor products unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
Vendors may not make misleading statements suggesting that Blue Chico personally:
- Ships their products
- Fulfills their orders
- Manufactures their products
- Inspects their products
- Guarantees their products
- Operates their independent business
Vendor Customer-Service Responsibilities
Each vendor is responsible for providing customer service for the products sold through that vendor’s listings.
This includes responsibility for:
- Answering product questions
- Responding to customer messages
- Providing order updates
- Addressing shipping concerns
- Managing cancellations when permitted
- Handling returns and exchanges
- Issuing approved refunds
- Resolving damaged-item claims
- Responding to missing-item complaints
- Managing product-quality concerns
- Following the vendor’s posted return and refund policies
- Complying with applicable consumer-protection laws
Vendors must provide accurate customer-service contact information and respond to customers within a reasonable period.
Blue Chico may assist with investigating unresolved marketplace disputes. However, Blue Chico does not replace the vendor as the primary customer-service contact for independently sold vendor products.

Every vendor product listing must include the following disclaimer before the listing can be approved:
